First City Foundations classes benefit all ages and abilities in learning the movements of CrossFit.
We strongly recommend that if you are new to CrossFit, getting back into fitness, or are nursing an injury and may need to modify workouts around the injury, attend our Fundamentals class, offered only on Saturdays at 11am as a first step.
Class is limited to 8 participants. Please register in advance.
Why CrossFit Foundations?
Nothing will set you up for success and set your mind at ease in CrossFit better than learning all the movements that are used in the daily CF “WOD” classes from day one.
This is often one of the biggest reasons or concerns we hear from individuals who think CrossFit is too advanced or too intense for their fitness level.
A typical class will include a thorough warm-up, techniques to improve flexibility and mobility, crossfit skill training, a short workout encompassing skills learned that day, followed by a stretch cool down.
One of our goals as a responsible CrossFit facility is to ensure each person safely learns the mechanics of movement and have an overall understanding of CrossFit methodology. We will analyze and evaluate each your range of motion, flexibility and overall capacity in functional movement.
CrossFit Fundamentals is designed to give you the knowledge and awareness you need to be SAFE and successful.
We only ask one thing, that you give us 100% every time you walk in.
